Is Jesus Really “All That” (By: Mike Sherman)

Is Jesus really “All That”, is he really all that he claimed to be? The Bible makes it clear Jesus is the exact representation of the Father in heaven just as he claimed to be and proved himself to be.
The Alpha and Omega- (The Beginning and the End)- Jesus is referred to as the Alpha and Omega just as God is- Revelation 1:7-8 “Look, he is coming with the clouds,” and “every eye will see him, even those who pierced him”; and all peoples on earth “will mourn because of him.” So shall it be! Amen. (8) “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.” Jesus appeared at the appointed time to fulfill his earthly ministry here on earth, but he is eternal just as God is.
Eternal Creator- God is given credit for His role in creation- Psalms 102:24-26 So I said: “Do not take me away, my God, in the midst of my days; your years go on through all generations. (25) In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands. (26) They will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment. Like clothing you will change them and they will be discarded. Jesus is also referred to as creator- Hebrews 1:9-12 You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy.” (10) He also says, “In the beginning, Lord, you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands. (11) They will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment. (12) You will roll them up like a robe; like a garment they will be changed. But you remain the same, and your years will never end.”
John 1:1-3- In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (2) He was with God in the beginning. (3) Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.
Unchanging God- Hebrews 13:6-8 – So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?” (7) Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith. (8) Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. These truths are intended to encourage us and give us comfort as Christians- Jesus is our helper, Jesus will NEVER change , He will always remain the same and be there for us throughout our lives.
Judge- Paul writes- 1 Corinthians 4:4-5 My conscience is clear, but that does not make me innocent. It is the Lord who judges me. (5) Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait until the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of the heart. At that time each will receive their praise from God.
These scriptures and others remind us of Jesus’ encouraging words to Phillip- John 14:9-10 Jesus answered: “Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? (10) Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work. Certainly Jesus is ALL THAT he claimed to be!
